New Henry Pictures!

Henry in his pumpkin hat.  So cute--notice the little stem coming
out of the top too. Can't wait to see his Halloween costume!

Henry continues to make progress.  We truly feel that this is a testament to the power of all the prayers and support they have received.  Keep it up!  He has been able to be taken off some meds and start the tapering process on others.  Tubes are being removed.  He finally gets to wear socks for at least periods during the day!  So, while he still can't wear all the adorable baby outfits filling up his nursery...socks he can now wear.  And he has some cute ones!

We are hopeful that he will be able to be stitched back up by early next week.  This is where almost all of my thoughts and prayers are focused.  I think it would be such a relief for David & Dana to see that next step toward recovery from the surgery.  We are so grateful for all the improvement we have seen over the last week and are hoping it continues.  Every step forward is one step closer to getting this guy home where he belongs!

One thing I realized I posted incorrectly earlier: it is the pulmonary VEINS not the pulmonary artery that there is a big concern with growth.  So, please redirect your prayers towards the pulmonary veins (not that God doesn't know the need...but it can't hurt to be specific).

We were able to see some great videos of him tonight.  Lots of good eyes-open time and grumpy old man faces.  If only we could hear what he was thinking.  Knowing his parents, we are certain he has some funny thoughts going on in that head of his.  Too bad we will probably have to wait another year to hear much of that!

On a funny note: Dana got a notice in the mail this weekend that she is being summoned for jury duty!  Just the distraction she needs, right?  Thank you to the doctors at Children's Mercy for their notes getting her out of this!

As always: THANK YOU for the continued prayers and support of this little famiy that we love so much.  As a reward, two more pictures of Henry:

Wide eyed.  As someone who really cares about eyes,
I am so proud to see how well he is tracking!

Meet Henry's best friends: Grave Digger and  Blue Thunder--MUD Edition.
You just know this kid is going to be tough.
