A message from Great Aunt Michel

I think it is awesome the outpouring of support for Dave, Dana and Henry.  Clearly they are loved and we all want to make sure they know we are here for them for anything they need.

Re:  Visitors..  As a nurse of 29 years I was very happy that they have now limited visitors.  We are heading into Flu / Cold season and this is a very dangerous exposure for such a compromised little guy.  Some people are contagious before they realize they are.  WE ALL have to do our part to protect little Henry.  My suggestion would be that when they do allow visitors again that it just be immediate family (grandparents and Dave and Dana's siblings).  This is a close family and it is as hard for me to step back as it is everyone.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave / Dana and little Henry 24/7 and we want to be around whenever support is needed.

Pam and I talked last night and she suggested that because Dave and Dana are unable to be with Henry between 7p and 8p that the extended family could alternate taking them out to dinner in order to see them.  Jim mentioned that when visitors are added back in, make it by invitation only and gain control over the flow (which any one of us would help them with).

Extended family and friends;  how about having a party when Dave and Dana are comfortable?  This way everyone that loves them so much could come and see pictures, listen to stories about this journey and show support.  We could tie it in with a benefit of some sort.  I know Dave and Dana have some very good friends and all of you want to see them as well.  I also realize that they may benefit from seeing you.  Lets celebrate little Henrys life!  We can have it at our house whenever they want to.

To:  Dave, Dana and Henry(/Hank)  We love you lots and hope you now know that this little guy is loved as well.  We want to be with you whenever you need us, but are trying our hardest not to smother you.  Think about the party idea when you are ready.  Henry has been in Gods hands since OMC when Julie (the nurse) noted a problem.  He has reasons for being here and he will have a huge impact on the rest of us throughout his life.  Stay strong, but when you have no more strength - we will all be here to give you some.

  1. As hard as no visitors is, it is for the best!!! I'm working on getting a sign up out to our group of friends for people to sign up for bringing meals to Dave and Dana every other night. I'm also working on getting some money collected from everybody for some gas cards. Dave & Dana- we hope you know how much "The Group" loves you both and Henry! As always... we are here for you guys and will do anything you need!!!!

    All our love and prayers,
    Kala & Trent
