Lots of good news today! David called with the update that the Pole of Doom is gone! Here is what that means: OXYGEN: gone! ART LINE IN LEG: gone! CHEST DRAIN: gone! PATCH: you guessed it, gone! He does still have the PICC line for now in case it becomes necessary, but all of the rest of those tubes, lines, etc are GONE!!!
They tried to bottle feed him today and that went okay, but not perfect. They'll try again later and hoping Henry will get the hang of the bottle after 2 weeks without. Overall, still a wonderful day!
And to sweeten this already great news: David & Dana got to hold Henry again! Yaaaaaay!
I'm sure you all have big smiles on your faces already, but if not here is something that will make sure you do: David (somewhat proudly?) noted that Henry pooped on one of the nurses today. That's one way of trying to get out of the hospital earlier!
