A nurse just came in with an update. Sounds like the vessels have been repaired and all went well. They now need to let him sit for a little while to let some "oozing" stop (a normal part of the surgery). They still need to sew in the shunt, take him off the bypass, and then he should be done!
Hopefully another 2-1/2 hours and David & Dana will be able to see him again.
